Love in Action Center for Children was born by a single woman with a traumatic past and a heart for the homeless and hungry children of Mexico. What began as a feeding program out of Anabel Frutos’ kitchen has grown into an organization that has cared for over 1000 children in Chapala, Jalisco since its humble beginning in 2000.

Love in Action is a home where children who have suffered neglect or were in a high-risk home environment, are placed by the Mexican government with the purpose of providing them with a temporary or permanent home.

We presently house anywhere from 20 to 30 children with ages ranging from 3 to 18 years old.  We have three houses, each with their own care giver. Apart from being accountable to our board of directors, we continually are visited by government officials that come in to supervise the many activities here at the center.

We are located at Pedro Moreno No. 76  in the town of Chapala in the state of Jalisco, Mexico.  Our current property has provided the children with much needed room to heal, grow, and flourish, although it is still in one of the poor areas of town.

Through the grace of God and the extremely generous donations of our supporters, this new and larger location with more room for the children to enjoy life, and has six buildings with a large grassy area to play in.
